To start i will explain how i will score each restaurant Chubbys Santiago's and Tamale Kitchen.I will l score the customer service 1-10 the setting/dining area1-10 and the quality and taste of food 1-10 and also 1-10 for price. At the end i will add up the points to show the best overall but keep in mind the taste is the most important. Also the reason these three were chose because they are similar in price and good in taste.

I will start With Chubbys Mexican Restaurant. It is located in the north side if Denver on 38th and Lipan. Now when first approaching the door of Chubbys, i noticed Its also a small establishment like the other ones.It has a big Original Chubbys written on it.When entering You notice right away it has no place to dine or eat.Now this might seem like a downfall for a Mexican restaurant but if the food is good enough its worth it.When entering Chubbys There is a very small area to wait for your food and a take out window. There is always a large line though especially on Friday night. When me and my two friends got to the front of the line they said can i take your order. My two friends ordered a large Chile cheese fry each and witch is $5.50 each smothered Mexican hamburger again and it costed $4.75.

After we ordered they gave us a ticket with a number to cal us when the food is ready. We waited for about ten minutes and it was pretty crowded.Looking around the place it was decorated with pitchures the the women and man who founded Chubbys. When our number was called we rushed to get our food eager to taste the famous Chubbys. We grabbed our food and payed and, rushed out because we had to eat in car.We packed into my old 92 Subaru and Feasted. When opening the smothered burrito the smell immediately when into my nostrils giving off one of the best aromas ever. The burrito was pretty big in size and totally smothered in green Chile.I didn't hesitate to take a bite because it looked and smelled so good.My first bite was like butter well mot literally but was it goood. The taste was so authentic like a dish straight from grandmas kitchen. Now this Chile was hot it left my lips burning after every bite.My two friends said the same. But they were inhaling the food just like i was.As we sat there the food was so good and to the t authentic we didn't even notice we were in the car.
Finishing up my burrito and my friends only finishing up half because there portion was bigger.I felt so full but was never so glad to be it was really great. The hamburger was cooked perfect and it was really a good size. The Chile was tremendous and cheesy and Delicious. Also the Chile was pretty dang hot but its Mexican food.To me even though Chubbys doesn't have a dinning area the food definitely makes up for it.Even if your not in the neighborhood i recommend you make the drive for this dish its well worth it.And i recommend the Chile cheese fry or the Mexican hamburger smothered.
Pricing:Well its slightly more expensive then the others at $4.75 but not by much but its well worth the price.
Honestly i think for the the quality its cheap and very enjoyable. So i will score it a 10 out of ten.
Costumer service:Honestly since their no place to dine then this is hard to judge but since the food was so good i will give Chubbys a 5.And they were nice but in a hurry to keep up with orders.
Setting dinning area:Again there was no place to dine only to order wait then pick so i will have to give Chubbys a 3 only because of the cool pitchers of the the people who Started it.
Quality and taste of food:OK now this is a big one this food was definitely great.Homemade and spectacular.
to me this was the best quality and taste out of the three I'm reviewing its honestly just a step above the rest
If i could i would give Chubbys a 20 but i cant so i will score it a 10.That give Chubbys a total of 28 And if there was a dining area Chubbys would have definitely scored a 40.

Ok now we will move on to Santigo's,Its located in north Denver on Federal Blvd. When walking up the structure is kinda of small. Its painted a dark tan and burgundy.Going inside its fairly small but enough room for a family to sit.The inside is decorated Mexican style. This Santigo's also has a drive threw. The tables are big aligned across the inside with enough room to sit. Here you are seated or you sit Then a waitress comes up and takes your order. When i sat down a nice young waitress came up and took my order she was very nice and patient.I ordered the bean and cheese beef smothered.

I also ordered a large water.Well i waited other waitress would pass by and were very friendly saying hi and how is your day.I waited about ten minutes tops and my food was in front of me hot and cheesy along with my water.Once again i sunk my fork and knife into this Mexican dish like i was starving. The first bite was awesome spicy cheesy beefy it was great. It was pretty hot but not overwhelming. As i neared the middle of the smothered burrito i felt content almost the portion was a pretty good size.It was great sitting there in the family friendly eviermeant enjoying this dish and washing it down with ice cold water. As I'm sitting their Eating my burrito two family come in and take up all the the seats. To me this was kinda disappointing because there really wasenI t much room in there to begin with.It started to get loud and i felt i needed to be hasty at this point because i couldn't enjoy my food as much with all the noise and crowdness.Well i decided to stay and have dessert. So i ordered sopapillas with honey.

Once again the waitress is very friendly and quickly takes my order.I wait a few minutes and here come the waitress with my dessert and it looks Delicious.I'm pretty full at this point and its loud and crowded but i couldn't resist.I pulled out the honey and dripped across the sopapillas like liquid gold.O my gosh the taste was tremendous sweet, cinimomy, and with a trace of saltiness.Even with the crowd of people once i took a bite i forgot all about them. Now yes i really enjoyed this bite by bite. Now remember i was already pretty full so i didn't finish the sopapillas.About half way threw them i hit my limit.I was full. The next two words out my mouth were of course check please.I finished paying and again they were friendly and said make shure you come again and i replied of course i will.Leaving this small Mexican restaurant with drive threw i though wow that was pretty good and cheap.I think the overall the that Santiago's is better then the Tamale kitchen the inside is nicer the people are friendlier and the food is a little bit better the portions are bigger but the price is about the same.If your ever in the north side of Denver and you don't want to spend a ton of money stop at Santiago's.And remember if your in a big hurry theres a drive threw.
Pricing:Again the price was cheap and the food was great.I mean $3.75 for something so good and pretty good size wow it was good value and the the dessert was only $2.50..So i will score the it 8 for price.
Customer service:The whole time i was there i was treated like a guest and they were very friendly.Even at the end they said make nshure you come back again i felt very comfortable there.i will score it a 9.
Setting/dinning area:The building was small and the the inside was kind of cramped. There was allot of traditional decorations everywhere i will score it a 6.
Quality and taste of food:The food was great spicy but not to spicy The Chile was a little thick overall it was some really good Mexican food i score it a 8.

the tamale kitchen is located in Lakewood Colorado of Mississippi and Sheridan it is a rather small location but offers some good food.when I first step inside the tamale kitchen their is a register to your left were you order.I'm the summer the air conditioner blows hard and keeps it very cool.straight ahead there are tables to the left and right that are fairly small and a few small flat screens on the walls with sports on for entertainmentlets get back to the register Right above it is the menu in bold letters and copy's of it on the counter.A Mexican hamburger smothered Ran me $3.45 plus tax witch is cheap for a smothered burrito. The Mexican egg rolls are $1.25 each and my friends ordered four witch is a total of $5.00.

After u order u take a ticket with a number and wait to be called for your food.when they called my number I rushed to get my smothered Mexican hamburger.after being seated I opened the the small white box that held this Mexican dish. The smell immediately rushed my nostrils with fresh chilly and cheese. Now for the true test I my fork and knife into the Mexican hamburger with with no hesitation. The first bite was delightful and filled with flavor and considerably hot.The tortilla is decent and the hamburger was cooked right. The chilly is fairly thin but not watery.after every bite it seemed a Lilly spicier.I and my friends really enjoyed the meal we all ordered the same thing but my friends also ordered some Mexican egg rolls witch I had the pleasure to try.to me it ws like a mini deep fried chimichanga with beef cheese Chile and a deep fried outer layer.

I also ordered a horcahta amd my friends ordered Pepsi and Mountain Dew.The horcahta was delious sweet and cinminony with a hint of milky taste.IT was great to wash down this spicy but some would call it hot dish down with a cool sweet drink.I used to eat the Tamale Kitchen when I was young and I can say that the flavor of the chilly has changed some what and the potion size is a a lot smaller then before. The location is pretty convenient just outside of Denver I'n Lakewood the structure is is old and not the prettiest sight.the inside is small but kept cool with air conditioning in the summer the price is fair to cheap and the food is pretty good and traditional but the chilly is a little thin and the portion size is small.
Pricing:Now i think the price was pretty cheap and fair at $3.45 plus tax for a smothered Mexican burrito. Also the Mexican egg roll was only $1.25 witch is also pretty cheap so for pricing i score a 8.
Customer service:They really just make the food here and you pick it up from the counter not much customer service is involved so i score it a 5.
Setting/Dinning area:It is fairly small but there is somewhat of a dineing area with small flat screen TVs so i score it a 6 mostly because its not very nice and its small.
Quality and taste of food:The food overall was pretty tasty and authentic it did lack in portion size it was hot and cheesy i will give it a score of 8 giving the Tamale Kitchen a total of 27 out of 40.
